Professional Graphic Design and Illustration

Prior to completing my graduate work, I studied Advertising and Marketing Communications at Georgian College, and have worked in the marketing divisions of two newspapers, an advertising agency and a software company. In addition to having  intermediate knowledge of print media, television and radio advertising and social media, I have implemented and developed websites for several non- profit organizations.

Web Design

My website design skills are quite varied - having worked on databases, corporate and not-for-profit websites over the course of my career. 

Illustration

Over the course of the last year I have been developing a series of children's books that have incorporated my own writing, editing and illustrations - these are currently being published by Tellwell Publishing. 

Corporate Work

My graphic design experience began when I started work at a software company in Windsor Ontario - from there, I worked in an Advertising Agency and then started to freelance producing everything from logo design and artist publications to exhibition and not-for-profit catalogues.

Academic Work

I am a PhD with editing skills and over the course of my training have taught video, digital photography, and sound editing. I have worked in 4 post-secondary institutions and in different capacities: As Technical Specialist Manager, Teacher, Gallery Director and as a Sculpture Facilitator at the Banff Centre for the Arts. All of these roles required design experience. In my capacity as a teacher I have always used on-line forums, rubrics, curriculum and scheduling content to enhance the student experience.
